  • Stars on Canvas 2010

Stars on Canvas 2010 is an exhibition of celebrity artworks in aid of The Willow Foundation, Lisa along with other Artists including Tracy Emin and well known celebrities were asked to donate an original canvas for a live auction on Ebay in December with all proceeds going to the Willow Foundation. Lisa's painting was picked out of all the paintings to star on the front of the collectors' brochure. The Willow Foundation was founded in 1999 by Bob and Meg Wilson as a memorial to their daughter, Anna, who died of cancer aged 31. Bob Wilson is the former Arsenal and Scotland goalkeeper and TV presenter. It is the only charity of its kind providing special days for seriously ill 16 to 40 year olds throughout the UK.

 

  • A visit from Ian Wright!

The former England and Arsenal footballer Ian Wright holding Lisa's painting, which he was apparently so enamoured with he wanted to leave a few personal words for her as a memento in one of the brochures!

  • Brighton's Arty Magazine

Brighton's Arty Magazine was dreamed up by Torben Krog and Alison Thomas. They decided to combine their 40 years' publishing experience doing something they love: producing a magazine that celebrates the outstanding creative talents on their doorstep. ARTY Magazine is the number 1 magazine in and around Brighton showcasing the best Artists Brighton has to offer. Lisa was featured twice last year and will be in the ARTY official directory of Artists which will be published in February 2011.

  • Brighton Artist Running the 2009 London Marathon Donates Original Painting Worth over £300 for Refuge Charity

Lisa donned her running shoes for the Flora London Marathon in April 2009 in aid of the national domestic violence charity Refuge.

 

Every person that sponsored Lisa a minimum of £5.00 were entered into a free prize draw with a chance to win the "Sunshine Gerbera" original painting by Lisa specifically donated for Refuge.

 

The winning ticket was drawn over the May Open House festival period by actor and fellow Brighton artist Chris Ellison (best known for his character D.C.I. Burnside in The Bill) at Julie-Anne Gilburt's Studio.
